Hudson High School of Learning Technologies

Through Hudson High School’s partnership with STOKED, students are offered resources and opportunities to engage in action sports culture through project-based learning, which provides outlets for self-expression, self-discipline, creativity, and relationship building. The partnership allows students to learn how to snowboard, skateboard, and surf, as well as gain professional mentoring in order to become college and career ready.

Board Building & Branding

Through the STOKED Board Building program, Hudson students will build and design their own personalized skateboard decks by hand. Students will receive instruction on how to build skateboards through project-based learning activities at school. On weekends, students’ learning will span outside of the classroom as they engage in mentorship activities that include skateboarding, snowboarding, and community service projects.

In STOKED’s Branding program, students will create, design, and launch a skateboard brand together as a group. Through project-based activities, students will learn responsible decision making, setting and achieving goals, conflict resolution, identifying learning styles, and presentation skills. In addition, students will engage in a community service project and various mentorship activities.
